S/he/I Said – Elusive Thoughts Abound

Daily Post Prompt: “S/he Said.” Pause whatever you’re doing, and ask the person nearest you what they’re thinking about.  Write a post based on it.

so I paused and asked myself
what am I thinking about
I evidently had no clue,
as it turned out

where are my thoughts, I thought
then I remembered what to do
stop trying to grasp them
let the thoughts come to you

immediately I saw them
t’were my thoughts, indeed
on a scrolling news ticker
stuck on the highest speed

time to slow things down
my brain waves need a rest
I shall take myself a long nap
let weary thoughts digest
